Requirements

  • Licensure: RN (BSN preferred)
  • BLS
  • ACLS (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ophthalmology experience desired but not required.

Anterior Segment Surgeon

Chu Vision Institute is seeking a world-class corneal fellowship-trained surgeon to join a high volume consultative cataract, refractive, cornea, and anterior segment surgical practice.

The practice has a certified EMR and is led by an ASOA certified, long-term administrator as well as an excellent management team. The practice features an on-site ASC with the femtosecond laser, refractive laser center, and state-of-the-art diagnostic technology. The practice has an active clinical research Center of Excellence and has participated in over 80 FDA clinical trials. e are seeking a person who is a motivated practice builder to join our growing team. Optometrist

We are currently seeking an optometrist to join our team at our Bloomington office.

The ideal candidate will be personable, energetic, and willing to work closely with the surgeon to manage pre- and post-operative cataract and refractive surgery patients. Requirements include a current MN license, completion of a surgical residency program with five years of clinical medical experience involving surgical co-management. Excellent communication skills and strong customer service acumen are a must. Competitive compensation and benefits package available.

Patient Experience Coordinator and Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a full-time Patient Experience Coordinator/Medical Receptionist for our Bloomington office. As the first impression of our clinic, this individual is warm, friendly, and professional and is dedicated to providing excellent patient care over the phone and in person. Responsibilities for this position include greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, answering a multi-line phone system, collecting and entering patient information, scanning medical records, and administrative support.

Candidates should possess the ability to work as part of a team with great attention to detail, computer competency, and strong communication skills. A minimum of 1-year customer service experience is required, prior medical experience is a plus.

We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician/Assistant. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, friendly, team-oriented, and must be able to efficiently work in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities for this position include patient education, patient workup, assisting physicians during the exam, and various testing procedures.

The ideal candidate possesses superior interpersonal skills, the ability to work flexibly and accurately under pressure, and a passion for people and customer service. Responsibilities include educating patients in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments and procedures, and financial and insurance counseling.

Medical Billing and Insurance Verification Specialist

Chu Vision Institute has an immediate opening for a\n Medical Billing and Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team! Chu Vision Institute is a premier Ophthalmology office focused on providing excellent care through a highly personalized experience. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, friendly, team-oriented, efficient and detail-oriented.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform various business office functions
  • Compile and submit claims to insurance companies and subsequently bill patients
  • Collaborate with team to solve billing problems
  • Conduct daily insurance verification of clinic appointments
  • Work with schedulers and front desk regarding insurance benefits and questions
  • Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and the patient to get claims processed and paid.
  • Process charges, payments, and adjustments.
  • Manage prior authorizations
  • Provider credentialing
  • Stay current with all CPT and ICD 10 changes.
  • Create an exceptional patient experience
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor, manager, and CFO
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years in Medical and Insurance billing, including knowledge of health
  • insurance plan benefits and medical policies, ICD 10 and CPT codes
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • High level of customer service
  • Must be able to performs each essential duty satisfactorily with and without reasonable accommodation.
