Carrie Jacobs brings warmth, leadership, and over 25 years of experience in ophthalmology to her role as Executive Vice President of Operations at Chu Vision Institute. As a member of the Governing Body for Chu Surgery Center in Bloomington, Minnesota, she has been instrumental in shaping nearly every aspect of the practice—from marketing and financial management to launching the surgery center and implementing electronic health records. Her work has helped create a streamlined, patient-focused experience from start to finish.
A Legacy of Innovation and Influence in Eye Care
Carrie is a Certified Ophthalmic Executive and is an active member of the ASOA (American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators), having served on multiple committees over the years and is currently serving on the board of directors as President. She is also part of the faculty for the ASOA LEAD Certificate program and serves as a mentor for the ASOA Group Mentorship program. She is a sought after presenter and participates on panels at national ophthalmic symposiums, on webinars and has an active podcast series. She has written numerous articles and is currently serving on the editorial board of Ophthalmic Professional magazine. Along with the honor of being on faculty for the Hawaiian Eye program, Carrie is also the current administrator program chair of the Caribbean Eye meeting and serves on the board of directors for OOSS (ophthalmic outpatient surgical society).
