A Minnesota native who hails from Maple Grove, Dr. Bunnell’s passion for ophthalmology began during her undergraduate years, where she gained firsthand experience working at a retina specialty clinic. This early exposure inspired her to pursue a career that would allow her to blend science, precision, and human connection.

Dr. Bunnell specializes in ocular disease, refractive surgery co-management, and primary care optometry. Her clinical interests include diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions, as well as supporting patients through their vision correction journeys. Whether helping someone explore surgical options or treating chronic eye disease, she is committed to delivering attentive, individualized care that enhances each patient’s quality of life.

Academic Excellence and Service

Dr. Bunnell earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from St. Cloud State University, where she also completed graduate-level work in the Applied Clinical Research Program. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, graduating in 2022. While in school, she was actively involved in student leadership and service through the American Optometric Student Association, the Student Optometric Service to Humanity, and the Private Practice Club.
