Myanmar – Shared Vision

Creating a successful independent ophthalmology practice teaches you two things—believe in yourself and nobody goes it alone. Since 1984, the non-profit Hawaiian Eye Foundation (HEF) has been dedicated to promoting the preservation, restoration, and improvement of vision for people of the Pacific Basin through charitable service, education and research programs. In 2006, HEF extended their ophthalmic training programs to Southeast Asia, which the Chu Foundation has made a focus of its humanitarian efforts.

All eyes are on Dr. Chu as he begins a phacoemulsification cataract procedure.

While certain practices may differ, surgeons share a common language when addressing each case with focus and care.
