iLasik

The IntraLase Method (also called iLASIK) is a blade-free approach to creating your corneal flap, the thin flap of tissue that the doctor folds back in order to perform your LASIK procedure.

With the iLASIK method, tiny pulses of laser light pass harmlessly through the outer portion of your cornea and form a uniform layer of microscopic bubbles just beneath the surface of your eye. The surgeon then easily separates the tissue where these bubbles occur and then folds it back creating the corneal flap. Then your surgeon performs the LASIK treatment. When the LASIK treatment is complete, the created flap is laid back into place and your eye then begins to rapidly heal.
